Word Series

These are small 6" × 6" studies on watercolor block that focus on the feeling of a single word, or the image that comes to mind. They have a loose abstract, freestyle feel because I have lower expectations for the amount of time I’ll be spending on them (usually always completed in a single sitting of 1-2 hours, maybe small details in a later session). The words are usually from dictionary.com’s Word of the Day, a concept that originated with my haiku series.
