flivver:
- Older Slang. an automobile, especially one that is small, inexpensive, and old.
- Slang. something of unsatisfactory quality or inferior grade.
The story behind this is that my dad is a famed dumpster diver and frequently stops to pick up stuff on the side of the road. It’s amazing how many perfectly good items he has and uses as a result of this. One of finest items he’s rescued was a name brand wakeboard (in excellent shape) that we’ve taken out on the lake for years.
