I happen to be a foodie, and my husband and I enjoy KC Restaurant Week every year. Right before I began this series, we happened to try a new restaurant that shall remain unnamed. The amuse-bouche looked reminiscent of this, but the entire meal was underwhelming. My husband joked that they brought out the boring stuff for the common folk, so when I saw this first Word of the Day, this is immediately what came to mind.
